Weapon evolutions and signature loadouts
Making upgrades feel transformative while keeping their rules visible in a crowded interface.

A stronger identity
Unique starter weapons made character selection affect the first seconds of a run. Weapon evolutions then gave those tools a destination: a build can cross a threshold and become qualitatively different, not just incrementally stronger.
Rules players can see
Evolution conditions connect weapon level, a partner buff, and character level. We added gates and list treatments so unavailable upgrades explain themselves and evolved weapons are marked explicitly rather than relying on players to memorize names.
Revive edge cases
Restoring a run can expose offers that were already consumed or rebuild an interface out of order. The revive and reroll paths have received repeated fixes so one click has one result and related buffs cannot be repurchased incorrectly.
Clarity earns complexity
Deep upgrade systems work only when the interface carries the burden. Every new combination creates a matching responsibility to document, label, and test it.
